About Us

2P Consultants, LLC (2PC) is a Civil Engineering Consulting firm that was founded in October 2017 in Round Rock, Texas, by Don J. Pool. While 2PC is young in existence, the team at 2PC has over 80-years of collective experience and has collaborated on Civil Engineering projects for many years. 2PC’s quick growth is a direct result of a longtime reputation for providing great services to our clients. Our philosophy is to enrich our clients experience by becoming part of their team. We’re not just here for a project, we’re here for a long-term professional relationship.

Don Pool

Mr. Pool has over 30-years of civil engineering related experience in the Austin area. After spending the vast majority of those years working for other firms ranging from 5-800 employees and many with multiple offices statewide, Don decided he wanted more for his clients. He opened 2P Consultants with the vision of providing a more personalized approach to clients and their projects. He brought with him a familiar staff that he had managed previously while with other firms and began presenting his ideas to clients. For some of those clients it meant upfront conceptual planning and due diligence work, for others it meant walking them through the entire site development process one step at a time. His many years of navigating projects through the local governing agencies has presented him with the opportunity to learn their permitting processes and to develop beneficial relationships with those agencies.

Don continues to grow and improve his knowledge base and to provide the best possible Consulting Services to his clients. Beginning his career as a draftsman and working his way through the field to Project Manager and now Owner has allowed him the opportunity to perform every detailed service in his company. He utilizes those many years of experience to provide a detailed leadership to his staff and provide them with years of situational problem solving options for individual project hurdles.

At 2PC, we understand the core values of any project is productivity and profitability. We strive to utilize our many years of experiences and relationships with governing entities to produce and process your project in a timely and cost-effective manner. At 2PC we’re not just here for a single project, we’re here to develop a long-term relationship with you for many projects to come. 2PC will become an extension of your development team.

2PC approaches each project as if it is the only project we have. Every site is different and not only in shape or size, but in site constraints. Site constraints refers to everything related to the site that you will need to be aware of for development of that site. Examples of those items are Topography, Monarch Trees, Easements, Access or Deed Restrictions, Zoning, Drainage, Utilities, Governing Entities, Permitting Processes, etc. We will assist the client by researching the project area and developing a list of constraints to work on. Establishing the site constraints in the beginning allows the design to incorporate those constraints rather than waiting until later in the design of the project and having to start over because of those constraints. Our goal as your consultant is to identify everything upfront to avoid costly and timely issues during the project.

The majority of our clients are repeat or referred clients. Because, we’re not just designing projects, we’re building relationships.
